Click Image to EnlargeWith the site for the proposed “Cityview Apartments†providing spectacular uninterrupted views of the Adelaide CBD, the concept centred around the creation of a building that afforded these views to as many apartments as possible. The resultant built form encapsulates that design strategy and provides a building that embraces the site attributes and maximises the aspect to the south west.
The curved balconies and curved roofing elements establish a “soft†and simple dialogue with the streetscape, whilst the general building form is based on simple clean lines, utilising an intentionally limited palette of building cladding materials.
The accommodation on offer varies from single bedroom affordable housing apartments, through to large spacious 2- bedroom apartments with access to rooftop gardens. Every apartment enjoys natural light and natural ventilation via external windows, with the central core of the building designed around the central courtyard.
